ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS
June 8, 2005
The Town of Macedon Zoning Board of Appeals meeting was held on Wednesday,
June 8, 2005, at the Town Complex, 32 Main Street, Macedon, NY. Present were Chairman Warren Jeffries, members Carl Eligh, John Gravino, Charles Packard and Ron Santovito. Also present was Town Engineer Scott Allen. Absent was Councilman David Maul.
Mr. Jeffries called the meeting to order at 7:32 p.m. He then explained the purpose for which this board serves and read the Legal Notice as it appeared in the Times.
PUBLIC HEARING:
Z-10-05 - Morici - 898 Turner Road - Area Variance - Section 135 Schedule I - Side setback - Joseph Morici and son, Jake, were present to explain this application. Mr. Morici would like to build a 16' x 18' home addition, which would encroach on the setback by 12-13 ft. The addition will replace an existing deck and provide a family room & storage space to accommodate his growing family. No commercial use will be made of the space.
A letter of support was presented from the adjoining neighbor, Tim Levandoski, 888 Turner Road.
There was no one else present to speak for or against the granting of this variance.

BOARD DISCUSSION:
Z-10-05 - Morici - 898 Turner Road - Area Variance - Section 135 Schedule I - Side setback - Motion made by Ron Santovito, seconded by Carl Eligh, to grant this variance under Section 135 Schedule I for a variance of 12 ft. side setback with a one-year abandonment clause. The five factors were reviewed.
Roll Vote: Eligh - yes; Gravino - yes; Packard - yes; Santovito - yes; Jeffries - yes. Therefore, this variance is granted.

Motion made by John Gravino, seconded by Carl Eligh, to approve the 5-11-05 minutes. All in favor; minutes approved.
