ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS
September 10, 2003
The Town of Macedon Zoning Board of Appeals meeting was held on Wednesday, September 10, 2003, at the Town Complex, 32 Main Street, Macedon, NY. Present were Chairman Warren Jeffries, members Carl Eligh, John Gravino, Charles Packard and Ron Santovito. Absent were Town Engineer Scott Allen and Councilman David Maul.
Mr. Jeffries called the meeting to order at 7:28 p.m. He then explained the purpose for which this Board serves and read the Legal Notice as it appeared in the "Times".
PUBLIC HEARING:
Z-16-03 – Swierzewski/3256 White Pine Lane/Area Variance – Area Variance – Section 135-61-B-5 – Accessory structure in side yard
Dariusz Swierzewski was present to explain his request to place an 8' x 8' shed in the corner of the house behind the garage. There is a drainage swale/easement in the rear yard that precludes placing the shed in that area. Shed will be used for storage of lawn mower, tools, snow blower, etc. It will not be used for any commercial enterprise and/or housing animals. Applicant stated neighbors have no objections to this project. There was no one else present to speak for or against the granting of this variance.

Public hearing was then closed.
BOARD DISCUSSION:

Motion made by John Gravino, seconded by Charles Packard, to grant this variance. The five factors were then reviewed.
Roll Vote: Eligh – yes; Gravino – yes; Packard – yes; Santovito – yes; Jeffries – yes; Therefore, this variance is granted.
OTHER BUSINESS:
Chairman Jeffries welcomed new member Ron Santovito. He also gave an overview of the Zoning Board of Appeals and answered questions from two Pal-Mac students for their Participation in Government class.

Motion made by John Gravino, seconded by Charles Packard, to approve the 8-13-03 minutes. All in favor; minutes approved.
