THE TOWN OF MACEDON ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS MEETING WAS HELD ON TUESDAY, JULY 10, 2001 AT THE MACEDON CENTER FIRE HALL, 2481 CANANDAIGUA ROAD, MACEDON, NEW YORK. PRESENT WERE, CHAIRMAN WARREN JEFFRIES, MEMBERS, SUE BUSH, CHARLES PACKARD, HELEN SAVERSKY AND JOHN GRAVINO. ALSO PRESENT WAS BUILDING AND ZONING OFFICER, MARIO FIORAVANTI. ABSENT WAS TOWN COUNCILMAN DAVID MAUL.
Mr. Jeffries called the meeting to order at 7:35 p.m. Mr. Jeffries explained the purpose for which this board serves and read the legal notice as it appeared in the “Times”.
PUBLIC HEARING:
Craig Curry / 2471 Walworth Rd / Area Variance - Section 135-61-B-4
and 135-62 schedule 1 / Would like to build a garage closer to lot lines
than allowed by town code
Craig Curry was present to address the board concerning this application.
Craig explained that he would like to add a 12'x24' family room and a two
car garage on the left side of his home as you face it. Currently,
the home does not have a garage; a barn is present in the back yard.
The proposed garage is 24'x24' and would be 20' from the property lines.
Town code stated setbacks to be 25'. A letter was presented to the
board from the residence at 2457 Walworth Rd stating that they had no objections.
Craig told the board the house is currently 1100 square feet, 1 1/2 stories
and the second floor is unfinished. No one else was present to speak
for or against the granting of this variance.
-Planning Board had no comment on this application
-Town Board had no objections
-Wayne County Planning Board had no comment on this application

Michael and Christine Terrore / 1049 Victor Rd / Area Variance - Section
135-68 schedule 1 / Would like to build a sunroom on the front of the house
closer to lot lines than allowed by town code
Phil Hart of Patio Enclosures and homeowners Michael and Christen Terrore
were present to address the board. Phil stated that the owners would
like to remove the existing front porch which is 6'x14' and replace it
with a 15'x14' sunroom. The sunroom would be 48.7' from the front
setback. Phil stated that Patio Enclosures would like to start the
project next week and have it completed with in the next two weeks.
The homeowners stated that they were in favor of the project approval.
No one else was present to speak for or against the granting of this application.
-Planning Board had no concerns with this application.
-Town Board stated that they had no concerns.
-Wayne County Planning Board stated this was a local issue

Sue Bush made a motion that a variance concerning section 135-61-B-4
should be waived due to the garage being attached to the residence.
Helen Saversky seconded this motion. Roll Vote: Gravino - yes
Packard - yes Saversky - yes Bush - yes Jeffries - yes
A motion was made by Sue Bush to grant this variance under Section
135-62 schedule 1 for 2471 Walworth Rd with an 18-month abandonment clause,
seconded by John Gravino. Five factors concerning an area variance
were reviewed.
Roll Vote: Gravino-yes Bush-yes Packard-yes Jeffries-yes
Therefor this variance is granted.
Michael and Christen Terrore / 1049 Victor Rd / Area Variance - Section
135-68 schedule 1 / Would like to build a sunroom on the front of the house

A motion was made by John Gravino to grant this variance under section
135-68 schedule 1 for 1049 Victor Rd with an 18-month abandonment clause,
seconded by Charles Packard. Five factors concerning an area variance
were reviewed.

Jeffries-yes Therefor this variance is granted.
MINUTES Minutes from April 24, 2001 and May 8, 2001 were approved with corrections.
OTHER BUSINESS
Warren distributed a proposed copy of a revised application for the
Zoning Board of Appeals. The board members reviewed this application
and the following additions were suggested.
1. The addition of an "office use only" space allowing room for important
dates
2. An area giving permission for the board members to make pre-meeting
site visits.
The application will be updated and presented to the Town Board for
opinion / approval.
