Section 2.

The purpose of this local law is to provide that qualifying residential real property as defined in Real Property Tax Law Section 458-b (1)(f) shall be exempt from taxation to the extent of either: (i) ten percent of the assessed value of such property; provided however, that such exemption shall not exceed eight thousand dollars or the product of eight thousand dollars multiplied by the latest state equalization rate of the assessing unit, or, in the case of a special assessing unit, the latest class ratio, whichever is less or; (ii) fifteen percent of the assessed value of such property; provided however, that such exemption shall not exceed twelve thousand dollars or the product of twelve thousand dollars multiplied by the latest state equalization rate of the assessing unit, or, in the case of a special assessing unit, the latest class ratio, whichever is less.

Councilman Maul felt strongly about the Canandaigua Road Bridge being concrete as long as it doesn’t delay the project.

Palmyra Macedon School District is holding a vote on December 19, 2013 from 7 a.m. – 9 p.m. in the Band Room.  The Facility Improvement project includes high school roofing and minimal improvements to other buildings.  The money is in the capital reserves and no tax increase to residents.

It was the consensus of the Board to allow Supervisor Hammond to contact Assemblyman Oaks and Senator Nozzolio regarding Canal Drive East Road.  Town Engineer Scott Allen contacted the State about the condition of the road.  The residents who rent along the canal maintain the road.  It is difficult to get emergency vehicles down this road.
