A Regular Meeting of the Town
Board of the Town of Macedon held April 28, 2011 at the Town Offices, 32 Main
Street in the Village of Macedon, was called to order by Supervisor William
Hammond at 7:30 P.M.

RESOLUTION NO. 97 (11) APPROVAL OF MINUTES
RESOLVED the Board approves the minutes of April 14, 2011 with the following corrections:
1. Creek Road weight limit will be reduced from Route 31 to Yellowmills Rd.
2. Resolution No. 83 (11) Assessing Review Board Member Appointed
RESOLVED the Board appoints Patrick Pittinaro to the position of Assessing
Review Board Member effective April 14, 2011, term to expire 9/30/2011,
at an annual salary of $495 prorated.
3. Resolution No. 94 (11) Payment of Claims
A bill for Ogden Buildings Services approved by the Board, Voucher No. 24030 in the amount of $5,567.07, did not appear on the 4-2011 abstract, therefore the correct totals should be:

Wayne County Board of Supervisors amended the allocations of county sales tax revenues based on the 2010 Census Bureau figures.
The County will be holding their property auction soon. Macedon has seven (7) parcels included on the list.
Jeff Sardisco planted a tree with the help of the Highway at Bullis Park in memory of his dog T.J. He complimented the Highway Department on their participation.

A resident inquired about the need for signage on Route 31 to alert east-west traffic that Canandaigua Road Bridge is closed. DOT is looking into signage placement for the Rt. 31 and Canandaigua Road intersection and how to improve the message that the bridge is closed before drivers turn.
RESOLUTION NO. 99 (11) PUBLIC SAFETY BUILDING DOOR REPLACEMENT & SECURITY EQUIPMENT
RESOVED the Town Board authorizes the purchase of a steel door along with security equipment per quote 1716 from Spink Locksmith Services dated 4/18/11 in the amount of $845.39 to be expensed from A1620.2.

On May 19th the Palmyra-Macedon 7th graders will perform a community service project by washing the windows at the Town Hall and Library. Highway Superintendent Richard Roets thanked the students for cleaning up the greenway.
The Town Board discussed individuals running the red light at the intersection of Route 31 and Canandaigua Road with Chief Colella.
Supervisor Hammond received a thank you letter from the Bullis Room Committee for funds that will help send June Hamell to Texas. She have been invited to attend a VIP reception at the Fort Sam Houston Museum on May 24th and a groundbreaking ceremony for a new museum. A tour of General Bullis’s home, now the Bullis House Inn, was anticipated. June will prepare an exhibit and presentation about her trip. The Committee is pursuing the possibility of a General John Lapham Bullis Day in Macedon.
A link has been added to the Town’s web site to access the new searchable assessment roll.
It was the consensus of the Board to pursue off-site backup.
Macedon Police Department is participating in the nationwide unused or expired medication disposal drop off on Saturday, April 30 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Public Safety Building. Last year 305 pounds of medications were collected in Wayne County.
RESOLVED the Town Board authorizes the Town Clerk to purchase a new computer not to exceed $1,000.
