A special meeting of the Town of Macedon held June 16, 2010 at the Town Offices, 32 Main Street in the Village of Macedon, was called to order by Supervisor William Hammond at 7:05 p.m.
Upon Roll Call, the following members of the Board were present:

RESOLUTION NO. 153 (10) TOWN OF MACEDON RESOLUTION OF SUPPORT AND CONCURRENCE WITH THE WAYNE COUNTY EMPIRE ZONE (FORMERLY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ZONE) REGIONALLY SIGNIFICANT PROJECT APPLICATION
WHEREAS, New York State has created the Economic Development Zone Program, now known as the Empire Zones Program, to encourage industrial and commercial development in select municipalities across the State, and
WHEREAS, the Town of Macedon, as an eligible municipality in conjunction with the County of Wayne, received designation of an Economic Development Zone and was redesignated as distinct and separate contiguous areas pursuant to Section 957 (d) of the general municipal law, and
WHEREAS, New York State has amended the Zones program to increase benefits and allow additional areas to be deemed as Regionally Significant Projects, and
WHEREAS, the County of Wayne and the Town of Macedon intend to amend the Wayne County Empire Zone boundaries to encourage industrial and commercial development and to allow for the designation of lands in the Town and Village of Macedon for a Regionally Significant Project, and
WHEREAS, Berry Plastics Corporation located at 112, 150 and 200 E. Main Street, Macedon, New York meets the criteria of 957 (d) of the general municipal law as a regionally significant project by creating 50 new manufacturing jobs for inclusion within the Wayne County Empire Zone in an area outside the distinct and separate contiguous areas, and
WHEREAS, the Town of Macedon wishes to support and concur with the Empire Zone designation of Tax Map Parcels 62111-08-948968, 63111-05-002971 and 63111-05-075977 as a Regionally Significant Project on behalf of Berry Plastics Corporation, and
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the Town of Macedon Board, in its capacity as governing body of the Town of Macedon, does hereby support and concur with the Wayne County Empire Zone to include the properties more particularly described in attached “Schedule A”.

RESOLUTION NO. 154 (10) POLICE ACADEMY RECRUIT OFFICER HUSK AMENDMENT TO RESOLUTION NO. 32 (10)
BE IT RESOLVED that the Macedon Town Board amends RESOLUTION NO. 32 (10) to reflect a date change of the temporary appointment. The resolution should read:
RESOLUTION NO. 32 (10) POLICE ACADEMY RECRUIT OFFICER HUSK
BE IT RESOLVED that Police Academy Recruit Officer Adam Husk be appointed to the position of temporary Part-Time Police Officer at an hourly rate of $12/hour. Temporary appointment is from January 11, 2010 through June 28, 2010. Be it further resolved that upon successful completion and graduation from the Police Academy, Adam Husk will remain in the position of temporary Part-Time Police Officer at an hourly rate of $12/hour until his completion of the normal probationary period governed by Civil Service guidelines.

BE
IT RESOLVED, that the Town of Macedon hereby establishes the following as
standard work days for elected and appointed officials and will report the
following days worked to the New York State and Local Employees' Retirement
System based on the record of activities maintained and submitted by these
officials to the clerk of this body:
