RESOLVED the Town Board approves the Wayne County Snow & Ice agreement for the 2009-2010 winter season, which commenced on November 1, 2009 and ends on May 30, 2010, as recommended by the Highway Superintendent, subject to Town Attorney approval and authorizes the Supervisor to sign said contract.

BE IT RESOLVED that the Chief of Police is authorized to sponsor Adam P. Husk to the Finger Lakes Law Enforcement Academy Basic Police Academy School beginning in January of 2010 with all related costs for the training school the responsibility of the academy recruit.

Chesterwood Road was previously accepted for dedication. It has been the Town’s policy not to take roads by deeds.
The Wayne County Health Department will be hosting a
Community H1N1 Vaccination Clinic at the Pal-Mac High School Instrumental Music
Room on Monday, December 14, 3-7 PM and Tuesday, December 15, 3-7 PM. This clinic is only for those individuals in
the following priority groups:
1. Children aged 6 months through 24 years
2. Pregnant women
3. People who live with or care for children younger than 6 months of age
4. Health care and EMS workers
5. People ages 25 to 64 who have certain health conditions such as HIV,
diabetes, heart, or lung disease
Questions regarding the H1N1 Vaccination should be directed to your Primary
Care Physician.
Supervisor Hammond, Kim Leonard and Marty Aman with the WCWSA met to discuss billing of the Macedon Sewer. The Town will set the units, WCWSA will bill and the Town Clerk’s Office will collect. This will provide a separation of duties.
Senator Nozzolio contacted NYSDOT on behalf of the Town of Macedon regarding our safety concerns at the intersection of Route 31F and Canandaigua Road. DOT has initiated a study.
Wayne County Water & Sewer Authority submitted notification of the water rate increase. The rate increase notification will be on the January bills with the new rates being reflected in the March/April billing. The cost of water will be $4.00 per thousand gallons purchased, which reflects an increase of $0.10 per thousand gallons from the 2009 rate.

Time Warner Cable’s franchise will expire on September 30, 2012. They have submitted notification of their intent to renew.
Berry Plastics announced acquisition of Pliant Corporation. Berry Plastics is a manufacturer and marketer of plastic packaging products. It is a major producer of a wide range of products, including open top and closed top packaging; polyethylene and PVC based plastic films, industrial tapes, medical specialties, packaging, heat-shrinkable coatings, specialty laminates, and FIBCs. It is based in Evansville, Indiana.
The Wayne County Board of Elections met November 24, 2009 to canvass and estimate the votes at the General Election held on November 3, 2009. Macedon Town Proposition Number One passed 437 to 427 changing the term of the Town Supervisor from a two (2) year term to a four (4) year term effective with the term beginning on January 1, 2012.
The Town has been notified, due to the state’s budget deficit, all state agencies are under directives to reduce spending. The enacted 2009-10 State Budget required ORPS to reduce state aid payments by 2%. As a result of last week’s deficit reduction legislation ORPS is required to further reduce state aid payments by an additional 12.5%. This means that any annual aid, triennial aid, consolidation incentive aid and county aid payments for the 2009 assessment rolls will be reduced by 2% and then another 12.5%.
Discussion followed on the State of New York’s request for proposals to build wind turbines on Lake Ontario. The developers will build and own them.

Supervisor Hammond read a letter dated December 9, 2009 opposing the VanHout Special Use Permit.
Scott Allen reported Mr. VanHoute has the same inventory and the number of employees is unchanged. One complaint was phoned in over the year regarding number of vehicles exceeded the number permitted. One extra vehicle was found on the property belonging to an employee.
Roger Morris was given until July 4 to complete landscaping. Since this has been accomplished the Town has not received any complaints.
