A Regular Meeting of the Town
Board of the Town of Macedon held September 24, 2009 at the Town Offices, 32
Main Street in the Village of Macedon, was called to order by Supervisor
William Hammond at 7:30 P.M.

The Board met at Marina Parkway, north of Bullis Park, for a ribbon cutting ceremony. After the ceremony, the Board discussed their options for the park. The Board proceeded to the Town Hall to continue their meeting.
Barbara Dwyer and Kitty Maloy-Mandile from Colonial Voluntary Benefits gave a presentation on the products and services offered by Paul Revere Life Insurance Company.
October 10, 2009 an Open House
will be held at the MACEDON PUBLIC SAFETY BUILDING from 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
at 1620 Wayneport Road. Activities
include a tour of your public safety building, bike safety tips sponsored by
the Macedon Police,
EMS kits for kids sponsored by the Macedon Town Ambulance and Pie's Famous
Turkey/Rib Roast Dinner $10 serving from 12:30 until gone. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month -
receive a free Angel Pin & Bookmark.
Supervisor Hammond is looking into quotes to have the carpets professionally
cleaned in the Town Hall and Library.
The vinyl floor in the Community Room bubbles slightly due to moisture
from the cement flooring depending on conditions. We will continue to monitor.
RESOLVED the Board approves the minutes of September 10, 2009 as presented.

RESOLVED the Town Board approves the labor maintenance agreement with Imperial Door, term of contract 10/1/09-09/30/10, at a cost of $300 for the Library and $300 for the Town Hall and authorize the Supervisor to sign said contract to be expensed from A1620.400.

BE IT RESOLVED that the Town Board authorizes Richard Roets, Highway Superintendent, to increase Michael Bueg’s hourly wage from $16.45 per hour to $17.45 per hour effective Monday, September 21, 2009.

The Bergmann traffic study of Route 31, Macedon Parkway and Wilson Road Intersection concluded a light was not warranted at this time. DOT’s study resulted in the same results. They recommended the stop bars on Wilson Road be relocated closer to NYS Route 31 to allow increased sight distance. The intersection should continue to be monitored as volumes increase.
October 4, 2009 the Bullis Committee is holding an Open House in the Bullis Room at the Macedon Public Library honoring their benefactor Miss Jeannette (Nettie) Aurelia Bullis, her family and their contributions to Macedon. The Open House will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Councilman David Maul discussed the purchase of a computer with the Assessor. Three quotes were obtained. The Assessor’s current computer will go to her Clerk.
Councilman Maul suggested input from a professional when determining the layout of the Bullis Park fields.
