Beth Grier-Leva and Doug Camp updated the Town Board on the Citizens for Community Wellness progress. CCW is a not-for-profit organization and has applied for their tax-exempt status. CCW was before the Board to solicit a letter of support for the committee to continue forward on the establishment of a community center in the Town of Macedon. The building would range from 25,000-50,000 square foot with an estimated cost of $6-7 million dollars. The Board requested a proposed operating budget. Also questioned were the revenues that would be generated and from what sources to construct and operate the facility. The Town Board was not willing to provide a letter of commitment until the CCW could provide more definite plans, operating plans and a higher percentage of public support that made residents aware of the possible tax implications.
Billie Ray was congratulated on her Red Cross Award.
RESOLVED the Board approves the minutes of June 8, 2006 as presented.

Discussion
followed on the concerns voiced by the Mayor and Village Board regarding the
possible impact of the development in the Wayneport Road area and it’s implications for emergency
services. Through the investigations of
the Town Engineer Scott Allen with information from Wayne County 911, statistics
showed there would be a reduction of calls.
Desiring to be proactive in providing reliable emergency services, the
Town Board has requested the Supervisor explore mutual aide options that would
be in addition to our current service provided by the Village of Macedon. The Board stated that there was no intent to
alter the current service, only supplement it.
