Regular Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Macedon held May 25, 2006 at
the Town Offices, 32 Main Street in the Village of Macedon, was called to order
by Supervisor William Hammond at 7:30 P.M.

RESOLUTION NO. 123 (06)
MACEDON CENTER FIRE DEPT. BUILDING EXPANSION FEES
RESOLVED the Board waives building permit fees relating to the Macedon Center Fire Dept. building expansion project.

Councilperson Maul entered the meeting at 7:36 p.m.
Highway Superintendent Roets and his crew have completed 8-1/2 miles of surface treating. Canandaigua Road has been swept and the remainder will be completed by next Tuesday.
The Pal-Mac School District has been guaranteed a price of $14,500 for their Bobcat that has 400 hours on it. Highway Superintendent Roets requested authorization to purchase equipment with the unexpected revenue from the work performed for the school district. A new one would cost approximately $28,500. He listed many ways this piece of equipment could be utilized.
RESOLUTION NO. 124 (06) HIGHWAY BOBCAT PURCHASE
Resolved the Supervisor be authorized to engage in a contract with Pal-Mac Schools to purchase their bobcat for $14,500 plus $1,000 for snow blower attachment.

PUBLIC HEARING – 8:00 PM – PROPOSED LOCAL LAW NO. 5 – AMENDING CHAPTER 104 ENTITLED “SEWERS” OF THE TOWN OF MACEDON
RESOLVED the Board waives reading of the legal notice published in the May 15, 2006 issue of the Times.

The proposed local law will remove Gananda sewer rates from the Town Code and establish them in the Fee Schedule.
All persons having the opportunity to be heard, hearing no comments the public hearing was closed.
RESOLVED the Public Hearing be closed at 8:10 p.m.

RESOLUTION NO. 127 (06) LOCAL LAW NO. 5 (06) AMENDING
CHAPTER 104 ENTITLED “SEWERS” OF THE TOWN OF MACEDON
WHEREAS, a
resolution was duly adopted by the Town Board of the Town of Macedon for a
public hearing to be held by said Governing Body on May 25, 2006 at 8:00 p.m.
at 32 Main Street, Macedon to hear all interested parties on a proposed Local
Law entitled Amending Chapter 104 Entitled “SEWERS” of the Town of Macedon, and
WHEREAS, notice of
said public hearing was duly advertised in the Times, the official newspaper of
said Town of Macedon on May 15, 2006, and
WHEREAS, said public
hearing was duly held on May 25, 2006 at 8:00 p.m. and all parties in
attendance were permitted an opportunity to speak on behalf of or in opposition
to said Proposed Local Law, or any part thereof, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE
IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Macedon hereby adopts said
Local Law No. 5 entitled Amending Chapter 104 entitled “SEWERS” of the Town of
Macedon, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part of this resolution,
and be it further
RESOLVED, that the
Town Clerk be and she hereby is directed to enter said Local Law in the minutes
of this meeting and in the Local Law Book of the Town of Macedon, and to give
due notice of the adoption of said Local Law to the Secretary of State of New
York.

holding a hearing on Hillside’s proposed site of 1001 Farmington Road on June
7, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. in the Community Room located in the Library.
Discussion followed
regarding removal of the pay phone at Bullis Park due to the expense versus the
usage.

Councilperson Maul
requested the Board update the sign ordinance.
The Board would like data from the Zoning Board of Appeals and then ask
the Planning Board to look at it.
Discussion followed
on the Wayne County Health Care Trust.
RESOLVED that the
Town Board recommends the county rate reflect the New York State gas rate
option and formulas.
