TOWN OF MACEDON

PLANNING BOARD

February 1, 2021

 

 

PRESENT:  Chairman Doug Allen, members Mert Bartels, Kevin Rooney, Mark McEwen, and Suzanne Airy. Also present were Town Engineer Scott Allen, Town Councilman David McEwen, and Board Clerk Brandi Schutt.  Absent were Tom Morrison and Greg Whitney.

 

Chairman Doug Allen called the meeting to order at 7:31 p.m.

 

PUBLIC HEARINGS:

                       

Motion made by Kevin Rooney to waive the reading of the legal notice, seconded by Mert Bartels. All in favor; motion carried.

 

 

PB-04-21 – Kemp– Quaker Road – Subdivision

 

Motion made by Kevin Rooney to open the public hearing, seconded by Mert Bartels. All in favor; motion carried.

 

No one present to speak in favor or against.

 

Motion made by Kevin Rooney to close the public hearing, seconded by Mert Bartels. All in favor; motion carried.

 

 

PB-05-21 – Klingler– 945 Yellow Mills Road – Subdivision

 

Motion made by Kevin Rooney to open the public hearing, seconded by Suzanne Airy. All in favor; motion carried.

NEW BUSINESS:

 

PB-04-21 – Kemp– Quaker Road – Subdivision

Town Engineer Scott Allen explained that the applicant would like to subdivide the parcel into two lots.

 

Motion made by Kevin Rooney to issue a negative declaration on SEQRA, seconded by Mert Bartels. All in favor; motion carried.

 

 

 

Motion made by Kevin Rooney to grant final site plan approval, seconded by Mert Bartels. All in favor; motion carried.

 

PB-05-21 – Klingler– 945 Yellow Mills Road – Subdivision

Town Engineer Scott Allen explained that the applicant would like to subdivide his parcel into 3 lots then merge to two with his neighbors.

 

Motion made by Kevin Rooney to issue a negative declaration on SEQRA, seconded by Suzanne Airy. All in favor; motion carried.

 

Motion made by Kevin Rooney to grant final site plan approval contingent on the neighbors merging the property to their own, seconded by Suzanne Airy. All in favor; motion carried.

 

 

PB-01-21 – Malone– Daansen Road – Sketch Plan – Single Family Home

 Town Engineer Scott Allen explained that the applicant is looking to build a single family home with a pond.

 

Motion made by Mert Bartels to grant sketch plan approval, seconded by Suzanne Airy. All in favor; motion carried.

 

PB-02-21 – Liberty Hollow LLC– 1315 Canandaigua Road – Subdivision & Sketch Plan – 3 Lot Subdivision & Site Plan

Bob Winasn from DDS Engineering was present to address the board on behalf of the application. The applicants Steve and Mike Cerone were also present. They explained that they would like to install a private drive and build three single family homes on the three parcels. They mentioned a majority of the land will still be farmed.

 

Motion made by Kevin Rooney to grant sketch plan approval, seconded by Suzanne Airy. All in favor; motion carried.

 

PB-03-21 – Forsay– 1835 Daansen Road – Subdivision & Sketch Plan – Single Family Home

AJ Forsay was present to address the board on behalf of his application. He explained that he would like to subdivide his parcel and build a house and barn on the new lot. There is an existing barn that that does not meet the setbacks for the subdivision.

 

Motion made by Kevin Rooney to grant subdivision and sketch plan approval, seconded by Mert Bartels. All in favor; motion carried.

A motion to approve the 01-04-21 minutes was made by Mert Bartels, seconded by Suzanne Airy. All in favor; motion carried.
