TOWN OF MACEDON
PLANNING BOARD
August 6, 2018
PRESENT: Chairman Doug Allen, members Kevin Rooney, Suzanne Airy, Greg Whitney, Mert Bartels, Mark McEwen and Tom Morrison. Also present were Town Councilman David McEwen, Town Engineer Scott Allen and Board Clerk Brandi Schutt.
Chairman Allen called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.
PUBLIC HEARINGS:
Motion made by Kevin Rooney to waive the reading of the legal notice, seconded by Suzanne Airy. All in favor; motion carried.

Mike Greene from Greene Land Surveying was present to address the
board on behalf of the applicants. He explained that the applicants would like
to subdivide 20 acres from the 111 acre parcel.
Motion made by Kevin Rooney to issue a negative declaration on SEQRA, seconded by Suzanne Airy. All in favor; motion carried.

Exhibit Services 1260 Research Forest
Mike Greene from Greene Land Surveying was present to address the Board on behalf of the applicant. He explained that the applicant would like to subdivide 5.265 acres from the 9.3 acre parcel.
Motion made by Kevin Rooney to issue a negative declaration on SEQRA, seconded by Mert Bartels. All in favor; motion carried.

PB-10-18 Furdey Wilcox Road
Mike Greene from Greene Land Surveying was present to address the
board on behalf of the applicant. He explained that the applicant would like to
subdivide 4.5 acres from the 51.61 acre parcel. The applicant would like to
create a commercial building site with a building tucked behind the trees.
The board members decided to table the application for two weeks due
to the applicant not being present to discuss what the commercial buildings use
will be.
PB-13-18 Haak 2849 Barnes Road
Mike Greene from Greene Land Surveying was present to address the
board on behalf of the applicant. He explained that the applicant would like to
subdivide 4.08 acres from the 7.42 acre parcel to eventually build a home on.
Motion made by Mert Bartels to grant sketch plan approval, seconded by Mark McEwen. All in favor; motion carried.
ZBA REFFERAL:
Z-06-18 Rienholtz 818 N. Hook Road
Area Variance Section 135-Schedule I & Section 135-162-B Side yard
setback & non-conforming building shall not be enlarged Town Engineer
Scott Allen explained that the attached garage on this home is in bad shape. He
explained that there is a chimney in the garage that stops a vehicle from
fitting. The applicant is looking to tear down, replace, and expand the garage
enough to fit a vehicle in it which is causing a side yard setback.
A motion to give a positive referral to the ZBA was made by Kevin Rooney, seconded by Mert Bartels. All in favor; motion carried
MINUTES:
A motion to approve the 07-16-18 minutes was made by Mert Bartels, seconded by Mark McEwen. All in favor; minutes approved.
