TOWN OF MACEDON

PLANNING BOARD

September 9, 2013

PRESENT: Chairman Doug Allen and members Suzanne Airy, Mark McEwen, Tom Morrison, Kevin Rooney and Greg Whitney. Also present was Board Clerk Susan Bush. Absent were Mert Bartels, Town Councilman David McEwen and Town Engineer Scott Allen.

ZBA REFERRAL:

Z-09-13 – Poland – 203 Wilkinson Road – Area Variance – Section 135-39-A – Fence taller than allowed by Code – Board gave a positive referral for this action.

MINUTES:

A motion was made by Kevin Rooney, seconded by Tom Morrison, to amend the 8-12-13 minutes as follows:

NEW BUSINESS:

PB-11-13 – Canal Properties I, LLC – 280 Route 31 – One-lot realty subdivision & change of use

In the discussion portion of the minutes, amend as follows:

Board members had the following suggestions: Add returns on the roof/sign façade; extend roof-

line of gable front backward 10 ft. to meet the main building; ornamental fence for outside display

area; delineate storage areas on site map; change to full access turn from Route 31 for entrance

driveway (currently right in/right out); cross access easements to driveway for both Lots 1 & 2.

In the approval motion, amend as follows:

Item (6) Extend roofline of gable front backward 10 ft. to meet the main building.

All in favor (Bartels absent); motion approved.

A motion to approve the 08-12-13 minutes as amended was made by Kevin Rooney, seconded by Tom Morrison. All in favor (Bartels absent); minutes approved.

A motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Greg Whitney, seconded by Suzanne Airy. All in favor (Bartels absent); meeting adjourned at 7:38 p.m.
