TOWN OF MACEDON

PLANNING BOARD

July 8, 2013

 

 

PRESENT:  Chairman Doug Allen and members Suzanne Airy, Mert Bartels, Mark McEwen, Kevin Rooney and Greg Whitney.  Also present were Town Councilman David McEwen and Board Clerk Susan Bush.  Absent were Tom Morrison and Town Engineer Scott Allen.

 

Chairman Allen called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.  A motion to waive reading the Legal Notice was made by Kevin Rooney, seconded by Greg Whitney.  All in favor (Bartels & Morrison absent); motion carried.

 

PUBLIC HEARING:

 

PB-08-13 – Emert – 255 & 263 Wilkinson Road – One-lot realty subdivision (re-alignment of property lines between lots) – A motion to open the public hearing was made by Kevin Rooney, seconded by Greg Whitney.  All in favor (Bartels & Morrison absent); motion carried.  William & Kathleen Emert were present to address the Board.  There was no one else to speak for or against this application.  A motion to close the public hearing was made by Kevin Rooney, seconded by Greg Whitney.  All in favor (Bartels and Morrison absent); motion carried.

 

NEW BUSINESS:

 

PB-08-13 – Emert – 255 & 263 Wilkinson Road – One-lot realty subdivision (re-alignment of property lines between lots) – Preliminary & final – Mr. Emert explained they own both of the properties and would like to change the dimensions of the lots; 263 Wilkinson Road will be increased to 5.8 acres from 2.18 acres, and 255 Wilkinson Road will be reduced from 13.37 acres to 9.71 acres.  The Emerts would like to sell the house/property at 263 Wilkinson Road and the increased acreage would allow potential buyers to have horses.  A motion for negative SEQR declaration was made by Kevin Rooney, seconded by Greg Whitney.  All in favor (Bartels & Morrison absent); motion carried.  A motion was made by Kevin Rooney, seconded by Greg Whitney, to grant preliminary & final approval for a one-lot realty subdivision per the application.  All in favor (Bartels & Morrison absent); motion carried.

 

Board member Mert Bartels entered the meeting at 7:40 p.m.

 

PB-09-13 – Buckley – 1053 Erie Street Road – One-lot realty subdivision & residential site plan – Log-in & sketch – Applicant would like to subdivide a 9.9 acre lot from their property (30.24 acres) to build a new home.  The driveway for the new lot will be on Cockle Road, and the house will have a Cockle Road address.  A motion to grant sketch plan approval was made by Greg Whitney, seconded by Kevin Rooney.  All in favor (Morrison absent); motion carried.

 

ZBA REFERRAL:

 

Z-07-13 – Samuelson – 975 Wayneport Road – Area Variance – Section 135-61-B-5 – Accessory structure in front yard – Board recommended the placement of the barn should be in line with the Wilkinson Road end of the house.

 

MINUTES:

 

A motion to approve the 04-22-13 minutes was made by Kevin Rooney, seconded by Doug Allen.  All in favor (Morrison absent); minutes approved.

 

A motion to approve the 06-10-13 minutes was made by Suzanne Airy, seconded by Mert Bartels.  All in favor (Morrison absent); minutes approved.

 

ADJOURNMENT:

 

A motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Kevin Rooney, seconded by Suzanne Airy.  All in favor (Morrison absent); meeting adjourned at 7:55 p.m.
