OLD BUSINESS:
PB-07-13 Ward 3111 Hance Road Home occupation (hair salon) Applicant Irene Ward was present to address the Board regarding this request. She would like to utilize an existing room in her home for a hair salon. At this time her hours would be Saturday only, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., by appointment. There would be one client at a time with possibly two client cars in her driveway at the same time. Ms. Ward stated that her existing driveway could easily accommodate the extra vehicles. She also indicated that she may wish to install a sign in the future, and the Board members reviewed the sign requirements with her. There were two neighbors present to address the Board. They stated they support the applicants request, but would not want to have the additional activity cause a recurrence of a past problem with the Wards dogs (barking). A motion to approve this home occupation was made by Mark McEwen, seconded by Greg Whitney. All in favor (Airy & Bartels absent); motion carried.
