PLANNING BOARD MINUTES

June 9, 2003

 

MEMBERS PRESENT: Chairman Doug Allen, members Mert Bartels, Tom Ferreri, Brian Gagne, Mark McEwen, Tom Morrison & Kevin Rooney. Also present were Town Engineer Scott Allen and Councilman Ken Nawrocki.

Chairman Allen called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.

Motion made by Mert Bartels, seconded by Kevin Rooney, to waive the reading of the Public Notice as it appeared in the Times. All in favor; motion carried.

 

PUBLIC HEARING:

PB-07-03 – Rogers – Macedon Center Road – Site plan – Single family residence – Motion made by Brian Gagne, seconded by Kevin Rooney, to open the public hearing. All in favor; motion carried. Dave Matthews, Matthews Consulting, was present on behalf of the applicant. No one else was present to speak for or against this application. Motion to close the public hearing made by Mert Bartels, seconded by Kevin Rooney. All in favor; public hearing closed.

 

NEW BUSINESS:

Turk Hill Park, LLC – 1675 Wayneport Road – John Flowers was present to address the Board regarding a possible subdivision of this property (Reference Murphy/Quality Measurement, 1985 & Z-03-03 Wayneport Centre). The property owners would like to divide this parcel to accommodate their lending institution in financing the proposed second building. Discussion followed with the consensus being this would not be acceptable due to the requested setbacks (5 ft. for one lot).

Home Properties – Hauser Manufacturing/Gananda Parkway – Topsoil – The property owners have requested permission to remove a topsoil pile left several years ago as a result of this construction project. Board consensus was to allow this action upon issuance of the proper permits and payment of fees.

ZBA REFERRAL:

Z-08-03 – Hale – 1009 Jordan Drive – Area Variance – Sections 135-61-A, 135 Schedule I, 135-162-B – Garage larger than allowed, within side setback & expansion of non-conforming building – Board had no concerns regarding this proposal.

 

 

OLD BUSINESS:

PB-07-03 – Rogers – Macedon Center Road – Site plan – Single family residence – Dave Matthews, Matthews Consulting, explained this is an "earth" home to be built on the south side of Macedon Center Road. The Engineering Review Letter was then discussed. Motion for negative SEQR declaration made by Kevin Rooney, seconded by Tom Morrison. All in favor; motion carried. Motion to grant final approval subject to the Town Engineer's comments made by Tom Morrison, seconded by Brian Gagne. All in favor; motion carried.

PB-04-03 – Laker Development/CVS – Z-07-03 – Site Enhancement Services – Signs – Motion made by Brian Gagne, seconded by Kevin Rooney, to approve the signs in accordance with the Zoning Board of Appeals decision. All in favor; motion carried. Discussion followed regarding removal of all trees during the demolition on this site. A new landscaping plan must now be submitted for Planning Board approval.

 

MINUTES:

Motion made by Kevin Rooney, seconded by Mert Bartels, to approve the 5-12-03 minutes. All in favor; motion carried.
